Legislature Issues
1. The federal government wants to collect personal health information in order to access each of our vaccination statuses.
2. In 2019 the climate leadership and community protection act, authorized the creation of a Climate Action Council. This commission/committee is writing new rule that will not need to be authorized by the legislature. Basically the legislature has set a goal to be carbon free and the commission is creating regulations to bring the state into compliance with that. As mentioned at our business meeting they are expecting to release the new regulations in December 2021, then there will be an opportunity for public comment.
3. House Bill 350 – The Domestic Terrorism Protection Act grants authorities access to surveillance on the people because of protests. Express your thoughts about these subjects to your NYS Senator by contacting them here
