The MCLP Committee is working on a project that hopefully will get us recognized as an official political party in Monroe County. The goal of this project is to fill at least 25% of the EDD positions by January, 2022. Find more information here. We voted to donate $500 to the New York State LP to help fund the ballot excess lawsuit. Thanks to the very generous donation of a new a member. The state LP committee had a very successful in person meeting, on July 18th. Two Monroe County Libertarians were elected to join the state committee. Congratulations to Marc Smith and Robert Glomboski. We scheduled our third monthly social meeting in July, In the 19th Ward in Rochester. Our thanks go out to John Curtis for hosting this event. Comic David Smith who is also widely known as a libertarian with a podcast is coming to Rochester. He will be at Comedy at the Carlson, August 26-28. View the event information here. Spike Cohen Our 2020 Vice Presidential Libertarian candidate will be on a full week lecture tour this fall, including a stop in Rochester. Our former chair Erik, who now lives in New Hampshire brought up a discussion on outreach strategy, to attract new members. He suggested a more radical provocative approach versus, a more soft toned centrist approach. What are your thoughts? Send your recommendations to Steve.
