| We have our work cut out for us with the Independent Nominating Petition! Since we need as many signatures as possible, and then some, the Monroe County Libertarian Party is giving away TEN (10) of our newly designed and created t-shirts to the first 10 people who turn in 20 signatures as of MAY 2 (they must be verified/valid and turned in to Dr. Steven Becker by May 2) . The signatures MUST be valid NYS registered voters (of any party). Keep in mind, while the winners must be Monroe County residents, you may collect signatures from anyone who lives in NY (not NYC) who is a registered voter. If you are willing and able to help collect signatures, we’ve listed a few helpful hints for you here. Marc Smith has volunteered to be our MCLP Petition Coordinator. To ensure Monroe County meets the LPNY/Sharpe campaign’s time frame for BOE submission, he is collecting all completed forms for review and will be forwarding them on to the campaign. You may drop-off your petitions to the MCLP group meet-up at Flaherty’s Three Flags Inn on Bay Road in Webster 7-9pm every Wednesday through May 18th. Alternatively, you may mail all forms to the address below prior to 5/20 or contact him via text to either arrange a drop-off or inquire about the petitioning process. | – The NYLP committee elections were filed and approved. The seven lucky winners from district 7 are Dr. Steven Becker, Jeffrey Bradley, Anthony D’Orazio, James Dayton, Mark Glowgowski, Sean Phelan, and Marc Smith. These 7 and the rest of the state committee will meet in September to elect the NYLP executive committee, including the State Chair, for the next two years. – The National LP convention is coming up soon. It will be held Memorial Day weekend in Reno Nevada! |
